Deut 16:20 “Follow righteousness, righteousness alone, so that you live.
Other translations say something like “Strive for nothing but justice”, or “That which is altogether just you shall follow”

The Hebrew word use actually for Follow or strive RADAP H7291 – rāḏap̄, which is Pursue or chase. Not just follow, but seek it, run for it.
The Hebrew word for righteousness or justice is SEDEQ H6664 – ṣeḏeq.

When you read the Hebrew it says: “SEDEQ SEDEQ RADAP“, which reads JUSTICE JUSTICE PURSUE!

Deut 17:3 “and has gone and served other mighty ones and bowed down to them, or to the sun or to the moon or to any of the host of the heavens, which I have not commanded,”

Deut 18:
9“When you come into the land which YHWH your Elohim is giving you, do not learn to do according to the abominations of those gentiles.
10“Let no one be found among you who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, or one who practises divination, or a user of magic, or one who interprets omens or a sorcerer,
11or one who conjures spells, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead.
12“For whoever does these are an abomination to YHWH, and because of these abominations YHWH your Elohim drives them out from before you.
13“Be perfect before YHWH your Elohim,
14for these nations whom you are possessing do listen to those using magic and to diviners. But as for you, YHWH your Elohim has not appointed such for you.

abomination TOEBA H8441 – tôʿēḇâ, TAAB H8581 – tāʿaḇ, which means to abhor, detest, loathe, utterly hate

Deu 7:26
Neither shalt thou bring an abomination into thine house, lest thou be a cursed thing like it: but thou shalt utterly detest it, and thou shalt utterly H8581 abhor H8581 it; for it is a cursed thing.

The Hebrew word is even repeated twice here.. TOEBA TOEBA.

We might not even realize how much we are surrounded by sun, moon, star and planet worship today.  It is NOT just a thing of thousands of years ago, but we teach our children these things for entertainment, we enjoy the movies, we partake in celebration and festivals that have these worship entities at their core – they won’t tell you that – they just entice you to join in.
