Genesis 44:18 “And Judah came near to him and said, “O my master, please let your servant speak a word in my master’s hearing, and do not let your displeasure burn against your servant”.  With time, we learn that we are going to have to stand up and face our mistakes with boldness.  Ruben is the oldest brother, and so far he has been very outspoken, so Joseph recognizes this and just ignores him.  Finally when Judah decides to plead for Benjamin, after they have been tested with money and a silver cup, even Joseph spoiling Benjamin with 5 times the amount of food – Joseph can really see that these men have had a change of heart.

It is one thing to make mistakes, but with time, we really will have to prove that we have had a change of heart by being tested and standing up and facing the truth.
