1 Sam 30:22-24  And all the evil and worthless men of those who went with Dawiḏ answered and said, “Because they did not go with us, we do not give them any of the spoil that we have rescued, except for every man’s wife and children, and let them take them and go.” But Dawiḏ said, “My brothers, do not do so with what YHWH has given us, who has protected us and gave into our hand the band that came against us. “And who would listen to you in this matter? For as his portion is who goes down to the battle, so is his portion who remains with the baggage, they share alike.”

One of the laws/commands of YHWH is to share the spoils among all. Numbers 31:27 YHWH said to Moses, “Divide the spoils equally between the soldiers who took part in the battle and the rest of the community.”

There are a few scriptures that talk about all will share in the spoils. Isaiah 53:12, “Therefore I give Him a portion among the great, and He divides the spoil with the strong, because He poured out His being unto death, and He was counted with the transgressors, and He bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.” It predicts the suffering and death of the Messiah, and also mentions that “He shall divide the spoil with the strong”. This prophecy of Yeshua’ victory and the sharing of its benefits with believers who stand strong till the end.

In Luke 9:46-48 a very short answer is given by Yeshua, when the disciples started disputing who among them were the greatest and who would receive more benefits.. but Yeshua said, “For he who is least among you all will be great“. In Matthew 20 Yeshua also gave a parable about the landowner who shares equally among all the workers, even those who seem to others don’t deserve it. Verse 15, “Don’t I have the right to do what I want with my own money? Or are you envious because I am generous?”
