Exodus 9
:29 “so that you know that the earth belongs to YHVH”
:31-32 for the barley was in the head/ear(AVIV H24 – ‘āḇîḇ) the flax was in bud. But the wheat and the spelt were not smitten, for they were late crops.
AVIV or ABIB are Hebrew agriculture terms. Modern Hebrew uses Aviv as a word for “Spring” or the new Year (Hebrew 1st) months’ name. But as the Israelites exit Egypt – this is the marking of a new beginning for them. YHVH marks this as the New Year – which we will see later in the Scripture.
IMPORTANT SCRIPTURES / PROPHECIES:
| Exo 7:17 Signs/Plagues Water to blood. Water is the purification and blood is retribution and judgment. This sign/plague will be repeated in Revelation 16:4 where rivers and part of the sea turned into blood. |
| Exo 8:2 Signs/Plagues Frogs represent unclean spirits as per Rev 16:13 |
| Exo 8:16 Signs/Plagues Dust to gnats represents dust from where men came from, and gnats are death in the air. So this rather refers back to creation and sin that brings death. |
| Exo 8:21 Signs/Plagues Flies represent annoyance and distraction, and with it brings ailments. That is what ha-satan uses, anything that causes distraction and deceivement. |
| Exo 9:3 Signs/Plagues Pestilence and death comes through diseases (a plague outbreak) and is the punishment for sin committed with the body (eyes, mouth by speaking, skin, sexual sin, etc) |
| Exo 9:8 Signs/Plagues Ash represents repentance willingly, or else judgement by fire. Boils represent anger or resentment.. Literally boiling from inside out. Rev 16:2 mentions painful sores on the people who take the mark of the beast. |
| Exo 9:14 Signs/Plagues Hail, thunder and fire all represents sudden punishment that cannot be withheld any longer. Rev 16:21 |
| Exo 10:4 Signs/Plagues Locusts are scary little beasts, especially in Rev 9:7. They represent destruction, clearing everything in their path. Coming from the east wind in Exodus, demonstrating YHVHs’ power and judgement. Hosea 13:15 talks about the east wind of YHVH |
| Exo 10:21 Signs/Plagues Thick darkness, complete sepearation from YHVH (Light). This also points to the prophecy of Yeshua being in the belly of the earth for 3 days, and there were also 3 hours of darkness when Yeshua was on the cross (Matt 27:45). Rev 8:12 also mentions a third of the sun,moon and stars struck, and no light for a third of the day and third of the night. |
| Exo 11 Signs/Plagues; First born The 1st born represents a physical/spiritual breakthrough, leadership, inheritance and special privilege. From the beginning to the end, we have representation on the importance of the firstborn. This prophecies to Yeshua. Rev 1:17 & 22:13 “I am the ‘Aleph’ and the ‘Taw’, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.” |
