YHWHs' Calendar
This topic of the calendar from the Bible has become an extremely divisive subject – and I would like to first state that even though there are so many different opinions about it – this should rather UNITE people. The idea is that you recognize what YHWH has created – start noticing the sun, moon and stars. It doesn’t mean we worship it, but we can go outside and LOOK at YHWHs’ calendar in action every day! Remember – “Always reserve your right to be wrong, and in doing so you can always extend grace to others who think a little differently than you”
If you are new to this topic, and would like some insight – we have shared some information on what we have researched over the last couple of years. It doesn’t mean what we say is set in stone – so always reserve the right to be wrong 😊. You are welcome to have a look at our DOWNLOADS section – there are many resources there, from blank calendars, and a calendar we have already filled in with the dates as we perceive them, explanations on how to calculate the days and try to fill in your own calendar, and many more.
Mixed Multitude
Exo 12:38 “And a mixed multitude went up with them too” – Not just the Israelites, but the strangers may become part of the Israelites – grafted in. Usually when we hear the story about the exodus of the Israelites, or see the movie – it is portrayed as only the Israelites. But so far, a few times we have seen, where the Egyptians listened to the warnings of Moses and also took cover for the plagues. So even if you are not born of this Israelite family, or you don’t know your heritage – that certainly doesn’t stop you of joining in! In future we will also see many times where other people from other cultures are joining the Israelites – and YHWH keeps mentioning to the Israelites not to become prideful, but respect and take care of their neighbors and the strangers around them.
Exodus 12:49 “There is one Torah (Law of instructions) for the native-born and for the stranger who sojourns among you.”
Raised Hands
Exo 14:8 “but the children of Yisra’ĕl went out defiantly/boldly”
Actually the Hebrew word there is not defiant or bold – but with a RAISED HAND.
RAISED H7311 – rûm – raised up, exalted, set up high
HAND H3027 – yāḏ – hand, power, place, monument
Saved
Exo 14:30 “Thus YHWH saved Israel that day out of the hand of the Mitsrites/Egypt”
We have had this word before in Exodus 2:16 – SAVED/RESCUE in Hebrew is YASA H3467 – yāšaʿ. Which is the root word for Yeshua!! Saviour ~ Salvation ~ Preserve ~ Revenge ~ Defend – Deliver!
IMPORTANT SCRIPTURES / PROPHECIES:
Exo 9:31; 12:2 YHWH Calendar “Start of a year. When the wheat/barley is in Aviv (green in the ear). New Month also translated as New Moon. So with the new moon in the month when the barley is green and close for harvest time. The barley ripens on the length of the days & temperature. YHWHs’ calendar is thus based on sun and moon together. The barley ripens around Spring Equinox time in the northern hemisphere. Spring Equinox + Earth/Barley Aviv + Moon = 3 witnesses Gen 1:14 “”let the lights in the sky mark religious festivals (moedim), days and years””” |
Exo 12:8 Mo’edim: Pesach/Passover The first Pesach is held, and is instituted to be held yearly forever. Key things to remember about Pesach – it was held quickly at night. No time to prepare the meat, roast the whole lamb in fire. Be dressed (shoes and belt on) and ready to move quickly – as the appointed time is near. |
Exo 12:18 Mo’edim: Unleavened Bread Leaven represents pride, and things from the past. Here unleavened is introduced as starting over – and is kept for 7 days, starting the same night you have the Pesach lamb. |
Exo 13:16 YHWH Sign on His people Keeping Pesach/Passover is like a sign on your hand and your forehead – that YHVH have brought you out of Egype/the world. |
