Remnant

Ezra 2 “Now these are the people of the province who came back from the captivity, of those who had been carried away, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried away to Babylon, and who returned to Jerusalem and Judah, everyone to his own city… the people of Bethlehem, 123

Only 123 people from Bethlehem, in later verses in all of Jerusalem’s cities, only 736 horses and 435 camels. Click here to see some previous posts about the word and meaning of Remnant, as this is what happens every time after Judgement. Even after the Exodus, only a remnant remained of all those people who escaped Egypt, to finally enter the promised land. Everyone have to go through the wilderness and hardship together.

Matthew 7:13-14, “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.”
