Listening to false prophets
Jeremiah 14:15-16 “Therefore thus says YHWH concerning the prophets who prophesy in My name, whom I did not send, and who say, ‘Sword and famine shall not be in this land’—‘By sword and famine those prophets shall be consumed!‘ And the people to whom they prophesy shall be cast out in the streets of Jerusalem because of the famine and the sword;”
Deuteronomy 13 gives the outline on how to identify a false prophet, click here to read more. If we don’t test the people who prophesy, especially those who like to “tingle the ears“, in other words they prophesy what people want to hear – then we are risking our souls for eternity! YHWH takes these false prophets that use HIS Name very seriously, and they will be punished very severely, but the onus is still on each one not to follow the crowds, but to test the prophets and preachers in their actions, and if they are truly From YHWH. Do not let their honey-dripping words soothe you, prophets usually come with messages of warning. But don’t let them drive the living fear in you either, YHWH always give promise of hope for those who obey Him.
Sabbath Fire
Jeremiah 17:22,27 “nor carry a burden out of your houses on the Sabbath day, nor do any work, but hallow the Sabbath day, as I commanded your fathers.. But if you will not heed Me to hallow the Sabbath day,.. then I will kindle a fire in its gates“
