Galilee ~ Bethlehem, Blind to sin, Faith and Miracles

John 7:41 “How can the Messiah come from Galilee?

Here in John 7 we see a great dispute about whether Yeshua could be the Messiah, based on where He came from. People are looking with their physical eyes for evidence. Prophecies and Miracles are given for this exact purpose, so more would believe. However, Yeshua says in verse 17, that those who want to follow the will of YHWH, will know if Yeshua is true or not. But even though all the Miracles and Prophecies are confirmed, John says in John 12:37 “But although He had done so many signs before them, they did not believe in Him“. At the end of John 20 verse 29-31, where Yeshua showed Himself to Thomas who wouldn’t believe at first, He said, “You now believe because you’ve seen Me. Blessed are those who haven’t seen me, but believe. .. these miracles have been written so that you will believe that Yeshua is the Messiah, the Son of Elohim, and so that you will have life by believing in Him.”

It is amazing how one can look at Scripture, and still be so blind. John 7:42 “Has not the Scripture said that the Christ comes from the seed of David and from the town of Bethlehem, where David was?” They look at Scriptures, and say Yeshua didn’t come from Bethlehem. In John 9 Yeshua heals a blind man, and a great dispute arises about the “blind man” and his sins. Even though the blind man didn’t sin, the Pharisees and many believed he must have sinned. But those who can see, or think they can see, are so completely blind to the truth and their own sins. John 9:41, “Yeshua said to them, “If you were blind, you would have no sin; but now you say, ‘We see.’ Therefore your sin remains.”

See our post from Luke 2, about Bethlehem, and the proof of Prophecy and Yeshua’s birth recorded from Matthew 2, Joseph registered Yeshua’s birth in Bethlehem.
