Kingdoms of the world
Luke 4:5-6 “Then the devil, taking Him up on a high mountain, showed Him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. And the devil said to Him, “All this authority I will give You, and their glory; for this has been delivered to me, and I give it to whomever I wish.”. Some translations say, he showed Yeshua the kingdoms of the world “in an instant”. But from the correct translation and greek manuscripts, it says “in a moment of time“. Stigme G4743 – stigmē, a certain moment or point in time. Chronos G5550 – chronos, either long or short time.
From Revelation 20:7-8 we read that the devil will be given a season to rule all the kingdoms of the earth, “Satan will be released from his prison and will go out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle, whose number is as the sand of the sea.”
Back in the story of Daniel, we read how Nebuchadnezzar was humbled and lived like an animal because he became too proud, and afterwards how YHWH restored him to his throne. Daniel 5:21 says, “They fed him with grass like oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven, till he knew that the Most High God rules in the kingdom of men, and appoints over it whomever He chooses.” From that and other Scriptures, we see YHWH uses kings from other countries, and appoints them in those places for His purposes, proves that YHWH is Elohim and King of kings. So how can the devil show Yeshua all the kingdoms that belong to him. The verse says, “for this has been delivered to me”.. and it is in a moment of time. Which Revelation concurs.. the devil will be given dominion for a small period of time to deceive the whole world and gather all the armies for one war.
Revelation 17:14: “They will wage war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will triumph over them because he is Adonei HaAdonim and King of kings—and with him will be his called, chosen and faithful followers”.
Revelation 19:16: “On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written: KING OF KINGS AND ADONAI HA’ADONIM”.
Old & New
Luke 5:36-39 “..And no one puts new wine into old wineskins..And no one, having drunk old wine, immediately desires new; for he says, ‘The old is better.’ ”
It is said from verses 33-35 that the Pharisees were questioning Yeshua on the fasting rules of His disciples. It is mostly taught that the meaning of the Parable is that Yeshua brought new wine, thus He brought “freedom”. How does one then explain that the parable ends with “the old is better”, and once you taste the old wine, you’d prefer the old wine! Yes you cannot mix the old and new wines, and their wineskins. Rather, with the Pharisees new rules and their NEW “oral torahs”, that would have been the “new wine”.. the better religion, or the religion that seems like it brings “freedom”. But Yeshua was teaching purely the Torah and Prophets, so His wine would be the old wine. It might seem old is not better, but that is not the case. Jeremiah 6:16 says, “Stand in the ways (two way cross-section) and see, And ask for the old paths, where the good way is, And walk in it; Then you will find rest for your souls. But they said, ‘We will not walk in it.’
A note: Some translations do not include verse 39, “And no one, having drunk old wine, immediately desires new; for he says, ‘The old is better.’ ”
