Psalm 30 “I exalt You, O YHWH … Sing praise to YHWH …You have turned my mourning into dancing for me … So that I might praise You and not be silent!”

David made it very clear… Sing Sing Sing! Do not be silent.. Sing of His Glory, Exalt Him! Psalm 32:11 says even, “And shout for joy, all you upright in heart!”, or another translation, “Be glad in YHWH, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart.” Another translation says, “all those whose motives are decent!”. This is profound, because not anyone should sing to Him! ONLY if your motives are decent, if you are upright in heart! There are a few verses in Scripture where YHWH says He hates false worship! Amos 5:23, “Take thou away from me the noise of thy songs; for I will not hear the melody of thy viols.” In Mark 7:6-9 Yeshua quotes Isaiah, criticizing the Pharisees for their hypocrisy in honoring YHWH with their lips while their hearts were far from Him, “Well hath Isaiah prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me. Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.”

The Hebrew word for song or lyric in general, is Sir H7892 – šîr, also meaning music and singing. As seen with Moses in Exodus 15:1 “Then sang Moses and the children of Israel this song H7892 unto YHWH, and spake, saying, I will sing unto the YHWH, for he hath triumphed gloriously: the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea.”

The word for praise in Hebrew is Zamar H2167 – zāmar, also meaning singing and making music, to play with a musical instrument. As described in Psalm 33:2, “Praise YHWH with harp: sing H2167 unto him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings.” Psalm 33 is full of music, singing and praise…
All these words appear in Psalm 33:
–> joyfully sing, praising, give thanks, lyre, make music, harp, sing, new song, play beautifull instruments!!

Not only did David have a deep love and passion for singing and music, he obviously knew the power of it! Remember how David became a favorite in the Kings’ palace, in 1 Samuel 16:23 we read, “And it came to pass, when the evil spirit was upon Saul, that David took an harp, and played with his hand: so Saul was refreshed, and was well, and the evil spirit departed from him.” It is not that music is just “therapeutic”, there is truly a spiritual connection with music – whether it is good or bad music! As a matter of fact, the hebrew word for music, Zamar, the hebrew root word H2168 – zāmar means to prune or trim, like a vine. Music truly have the power to build or break, for good or bad.

This is why, when our hearts and motives are right, and not in any other circumstance, should we sing to YHWH. We read that even the stars sang at creation, and there are constant singing around YHWH. Job 38:7, “When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of Elohim shouted for joy?” Revelation 7:11-12, “And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped YHWH, Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our Elohim for ever and ever. Amen.”

Another classic verse in Scripture from Yeshua is in John 4:24, “Elohim YHWH is Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth.”

Psalm 30, 31 and 32 mention the word Saint. Psalm 30:4, “Sing unto YHWH, O ye saints of His, H2623 and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.” Psalm 31:23, “O love YHWH, all ye his saints: H2623 for YHWH preserveth the faithful, and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer.” Psalm 32:6, “For this shall every one that is godly H2623 pray unto thee in a time when thou mayest be found”.

The word Saint in hebrew is Hasid H2623 – ḥāsîḏ, mostly used for the word Saint, but also meaning to be set apart / holy, merciful, good, faithful, godly, pious, kind. For christians today, they recognize the term “saints” for those after Yeshua’s resurrection. Some see this title Saint, as a “Catholic” thing, as the catholics did indeed put a whole process in place, where “they decide” who are saints, which is completely unbiblical.  The word “saint” originates from the Latin word “sanctus”, meaning “holy” or “consecrated”. This Latin term was adopted into Old English as “sanct” and then evolved into the modern English word “saint”. Latin is not a language spoken today, except by the Roman Catholics – that is why most people connect “saint” with catholics. The Greek equivalent of “sanctus” is Hagios G40 – hagios, also meaning “holy” or “set apart”.

However this title of Saints/Consecrated Ones/Set-Apart Ones/Holy people,  was given from the beginning of time, even David recognized there were Saints of old, as per the Psalms. However before that even Hannah sang in her song in 1 Samuel 2:9, “He will keep the feet of His saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness;”

In the Gospel of Matthew we read that “many saints who had fallen asleep in death” were resurrected following Yeshua’s crucifixion and appeared to many people in Jerusalem. These saints are described as those who had died before Yeshua, and at some point after Yeshua’s resurrection, these saints were also resurrected. Matthew 27:52-53, “And the tombs were opened, and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised; and coming out of the tombs after His resurrection, they entered the holy city and appeared to many”.

The term “saints” refers to those who were and are faithful to YHWH. Revelation mentions the prayers of the saints in Revelation 5:8 “And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints.” Peter describes this idea also beautifully, in 1 Peter 2:9, “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light”.

Revelation 14:12 explains exactly who the Saints are, “Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of YHWH, and the faith of Yeshua.”

The world leaders, till today, their motives are to make war with YHWH and Yeshua from the beginning of time, and that is what Revelation 20:7-10 is shown, the final war of nations from all four corners of the earth, for war against YHWH and His Saints. Psalm 2:2-3 “The sovereigns of the earth take their stand, And the rulers take counsel together, Against YHWH and against His Messiah, and say,Let us tear apart Their bonds, And throw away Their ropes from us.” Meaning, they see the commandments of YHWH as bondage, they want freedom and they want to lose the ropes and bonds of the Laws. Revelation 20:8-9 “and he shall go out to lead the nations astray which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog̅ and Mag̅og̅, to gather them together for battle, whose number is as the sand of the sea.  And they came up over the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of the set-apart ones/Saints

Psalm 34:16 “The face of YHWH is against evil-doers, To cut off their remembrance from the earth.”

The Hebrew word for memory or remembrance is Zeker H2143 – zēḵer, or Zakar H2142 – zāḵar. We have covered this word before in Genesis 40 and Psalm 9, but a great verse to “remember” is about YHWH’s Name being a Memory Forever! Exodus 3:15 “..this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial (H2143 – zēḵer) unto all generations.

There is a belief or thought, that those who are evil, and even ha-satan himself, will forever be tortured in “hell”. However, there is no real definite Scripture, especially in the old Testament that supports the concept of “forever torture”, but there is much debate on it. A good Scripture that most people know comes from Revelation 21:4: “He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” No Memory, their remembrance will be cut off – as in Psalm 34:16 quoted above.

Second Birth and Second Death
Yeshua explained being born again, there is the first life when you are physically born, and being born again your Spirit will live eternally with YHWH. John 3:3,6 “Yeshua answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of YHWH… That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.” So there is also two deaths. The first death is a physical death. If you are born again into the Spirit, your Spirit will live. Revelation 20:14 and 21:8 talks about the second death, “And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death“, and “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” There is no coming back from the second death – once it is gone, it is gone – like ashes in the fire.

The biggest argument for an eternal punishment comes from Matthew 25:41,46 “Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels”, and “And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal“. The everlasting punishment, which comes at the end of Revelation, is forever “being gone away with”. Before the everlasting punishment, is a long torment, as mentioned in Revelation 14:11, “And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name”. The smoke ascended “ever and ever”, but there is definitely some torment, and it is for a long period. There is also no rest or peace for those who do not worship YHWH, alive or dead. Because when you get to the end of Revelation 20 and onwards, all these that are finally judged and found not worthy, go into the lake of fire. Then it says in Revelation 21:25, “And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.”

After the first death, all go to Sheolwhich is not hell/hades. Sheol is a resting place, but for those who cannot find rest, they are restless souls. They experience the weeping and gnashing of teeth, that is also mentioned a few times in Matthew (8:12; 13:42; 13:50; 22:13; 24:51; 25:30). The weeping signifies suffering and the “gnashing of teeth” signifies anger, which means they will hold on to their rejection of Elohim. Some verses in Matthew say they will weep in the darkness, and other verses say in the fire, which could be both, first the darkness, and then when they go into the fire. Luke 13 is the only other gospel that mentions this weeping, and is a very interesting chapter to read. Verse 27-28, “But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of lawlessness. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of Elohim, and you yourselves thrust out“.
