1 Samuel 20:17 “because he loved him, for he loved him as he loved his own being

Love is not just a feeling.. it is a command and an action. Love is not about how you feel, but how you make someone else feel. Love is a command in Torah, Love your neighbor as yourself, emphasized in Leviticus 19:18 and by Yeshua in Matthew 22:39.

The Hebrew word for Love is AHAVA ‘ahăḇâ H160 / AHAB H157 – , which sounds a lot like YHWH! 1 John 4:8 says, “Anyone who does not love (AHAVA) does not know YHWH, because YHWH is love/AHAVA“.

Pro 10:12, “Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love H160 covereth all sins.
Pro 15:17, “Better is a dinner of herbs where love H160 is, than a stalled ox and hatred therewith.

1Sa 23:14 “And David remained in the wilderness, in strongholds

The word stronghold in Hebrew is MASAD H4679 – mᵊṣāḏ, a fort, a place to be take care off, protection and provision, a secure retreat, hidden, standing fast.

There is a mountain-top fortress in Israel, Judean desert looking over the Dead Sea called Masada. Today it is a heritage site known for the place where the Israelites had to flee in the Jewish-Roman war in 66-73 AC/AD, becoming the final holdout for those who fled the destruction of Jerusalem. Yeshua warned in Matthew 24:15-16, “So when you see standing in the holy place ‘the abomination of desolation,’ described by the prophet Daniel (let the reader understand), then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.”

Psalm 18:2, “YHWH is my rock, and my fortress, H4686 and my deliverer; my Elohim, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.”
