Barren Woman
Isaiah 54:1 “Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith YHWH.”
The Hebrew word for barren is H6135 – ʿāqār, meaning to be sterile, barren, or even plucked up – like digging for a plant with it’s roots to remove it from the ground and perhaps replant. We did a post back in 1 Samuel 2 (click here to read more) on how so many prominent woman in the Bible were first barren, like Sarah, Rebekkah, Rachel, and more! This chapter in Isaiah 54 is almost dedicated as a love letter from YHWH to all barren woman, and how YHWH sees them. It is almost contradictory to when we see how one of the first commands for mankind was to multiply, but sin happened, and it was as if YHWH made special plans when it came to children! We see immediatly in Genesis how woman like Sarah, who are promised to be parents of a multitude, are barren! But at the end of the day, this promise in Isaiah 54 says, “their children will be more of those who are not barren”. Which is what was promised to Abraham, more than the stars in the sky and sand on a seashore.
Sabbath
Isaiah 56:2,6 “Blessed is the man that does this, and the son of man that lays hold on it; that keeps the sabbath from polluting it.. Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to YHWH, to serve him, and to love the name of YHWH, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant;”
YHWH continues about the prophecies about the end days, but also how important the Sabbath is. Further in Isaiah 58:13 He says that we should not do our own pleasures and delights on His Sabbath, but to keep it holy to honor Him. In Isaiah 66:22-23 He talks about the new heaven and new earth, and when we get there, the Sabbath will be kept, “For as the new heavens and the new earth which I will make shall remain before Me,” says YHWH, “So shall your descendants and your name remain. And it shall come to pass that from one New Moon to another, and from one Sabbath to another, all flesh shall come to worship before Me,” says YHWH”
There has been a great deception. It has been told that the Sabbath has changed, and also that it doesn’t exist anymore.. that people can make any day holy, and worship any day “THEY WISH”. Even more than that, that there is no Sabbath in the future, in heaven or the new earth. So out of the 10 commandments, the Sabbath which is the 4th and most explained commandment, is ignored. The Hebrew word Sabbat is H7676 – šabāṯ, and the Greek is G4521 – sabbaton. Yeshua even warned about the end times, to be prepared and in Matthew 24:20 “But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: G4521″. Some also say that Sabbath has changed to “the Lord’s Day”. However, “the Lord” which is translated to YHWH, and “YHWH’s day” is also mentioned a few times in Scripture, but that is a different day than Sabbath – and it is not Sunday. Click here for more on that topic: YHWH’ Day.
