Lebanon
Isaiah 60:13 “The glory of Lebanon shall come unto thee, the fir tree, the pine tree, and the box together, to beautify the place of my sanctuary; and I will make the place of my feet glorious.”
The Hebrew word Lebanon is H3844 – lᵊḇānôn which means “whiteness“, which was a wooded mountain range in the north of Israel, that was often white under the snow. The word comes from Laban H3835 – lāḇan, meaning “white“. From the story of Laban in Genesis, he was Rebekah’s brother and the father of Leah and Rachel, thus the uncle and later father-in-law of Jacob, although he was not from Lebanon. Rather Lebanon was part of ancient Canaan and the homeland of the Phoenicians, a seafaring people and descendants of the Canaanites. Click here for more on previous posts on Lebanon.
Yeshua
Isaiah 61:1 “The Spirit of YHWH Elohim is upon me; because YHWH hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; To proclaim the acceptable year of YHWH, and the day of vengeance of our Elohim; to comfort all that mourn;”
The entire Isaiah 61 is about the Anointed Servant, called Yeshua. In Luke 4:18 Yeshua is given the book of Prophets to read, and he opens and read this Chapter, “The Spirit of YHWH is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to preach the acceptable year of YHWH.”

Bride and Groom, Law, Translation Issues
Isaiah 61:10 “for He hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, He hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.”
Once again, it is amazing how the translators just sometimes HIDES important words! The word used here, “decketh” or “clothe”, in Hebrew is actually Kahan H3547 – kāhan, meaning a Priest. And the word “ornaments” is Paer H6287 – pᵊ’ēr, meaning a head-rest like a turban. So in other words, the Groom is clothed with a Priets’ outfit. The Bride “adorns” is Ada H5710 – ʿāḏâ, which means to remove something, or to go forward, or to pass on. And “jewels” is Kelee H3627 – kᵊlî, meaning mostly a type of vessel, instrument, or can be weapons or jewels.
The example of Bride and Groom is repeated in Isaiah 62:4-5. The Hebrew word for Bridegroom is Hatan H2860 – ḥāṯān, which actually also means Law! The bride and groom gets married under law, therefor the parent would call the new child “son-in-law” or “daughter-in-law”. The Hebrew word for Bride is Kallaw H3618 – kallâ, coming from the root word Kawlal H3634 – kālal, meaning perfection or completion.
Yeshua gave many parables about the Bride, Groom and the Wedding. He identified Himself as the Groom in Mark 2:19, and in Revelation 18:23 it says in the end “the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee“. The Greek word for Bridegroom is G3566 – nymphios, and for Bride is G3565 – nymphē, if you would like to find more scriptures and do more reading on the Bride and BrideGroom – click the links given in blue.
Yeshua is not only the Bridegroom, but also the High Priest. John 17, which is known as the “High Priestly Prayer, He says, “I have manifested Your name to the men whom You have given Me out of the world. They were Yours, You gave them to Me, and they have kept Your word.” The High Priest duty is to reveal YHWH to those who are willing to keep the Torah, He is their mediator, teacher and care-taker – like a Shepherd. Isaiah 61:10 clearly states, that the Bridegroom dresses Himself as the Priest. Did you know, that every man that follows YHWH have a priest’s role to fulfill? In Deuteronomy 16:16 we read that every male has to go to appear before YHWH with the 3 Major Festivals to bring their offerings, “Three times in a year shall all thy males appear before YHWH thy Elohim in the place which He shall choose; in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles”. As a husband and father, every man has the responsibility of standing in for his family, teaching and guiding them with love and care, to be their shepherd, protect them from harm, and even sacrifice his life for them.
