Healing
2 Chronicles 30:20 “YHWH listened to Hezekiah and healed the people”
The Hebrew word for heal is Rapa H7495 – rāp̄ā’, meaning to restore. Hezekiah prayed because the people were lost and did not know the correct way of keeping the commandments and festivals. But their hearts were right and they wanted to serve YHWH, even if they didn’t understand His ways. YHWH said this same thing to Israel back in Exodus 15:26, “And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of YHWH thy Elohim, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am YHWH that healeth thee. H7495”
