Proverbs 16:1-3, 9
The preparations/plans of the heart belong to man, but the answer of the tongue is from YHWH.
All the ways of a man are pure in his own eyes, but YHWH weighs the motives.
Commit your efforts to YHWH, and your thoughts/plans will success.
A person may plan his own journey, but YHWH directs his steps.

The Hebrew word Derek H1870 – dereḵ, means Way, Road, Journey, Manner, Path, Direction, Habit, Course of Life. Yes, you get to choose your way, your direction, your life – but YHWH weighs the motives. And, YHWH has His Way too. Often, and most of us, have made many wrong decisions in life. Which is not a bad thing, those decisions has the opportunity to teach us so much – it all depends on the motive of our hearts, where those decisions will land us – back to YHWH and His Way, which is Pure and Holy and Righteous, or the way of death.

Yeshua said in John 14:6 “I Am the Way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” Yeshua came to show the Light, the Way to the Father. Before people were called Christians, followers of Yeshua in the book of Acts were referred to as ‘The Way”. Because the “way” is a common english word, bible translators didn’t make it easy to spot this important Term. However once you know about it, it is easy to recognize. The Greek word in the new testament for the way is Hodos G3598 – hodos, meaning The Way, but also the journey, the way you think, feel and decide on things.

• John 14:5-6 “Thomas saith unto Him, we know not which way to go; how can we know the way G3598? Yeshua saith unto him, I am the way G3598, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
• Act 9:2 “And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this Way G3598, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem.”
• Act 19:9 “But the people were hardened, and believed not, but spoke evil of the Way G3598 before the multitude”
• Act 22:4 “And I persecuted this Way G3598 unto the death, binding and delivering into prisons both men and women.”
• Act 24:14 “But this I confess unto thee, that after the Way G3598 which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the prophets”
• 2 Peter 2:21 “For it had been better for them not to have known the way G3598 of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.”
• Revelations 15:3 “And they sing the song of Moses the servant of Elohim, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are Thy Way G3598, thou King of saints.”

• Proverbs 16:17 “The highway of the upright is to depart from evil: he that keepeth His way H1870 preserveth his soul.”
• Proverbs 19:16 “He that keepeth the commandment keepeth his own soul; but he that despiseth His ways H1870 shall die.”
• Proverbs 22:6 “Train up a child in the way he should go: H1870 and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”
• Pro 23:19 “Hear thou, my son, and be wise, and guide thine heart in the way H1870“
