Discipline
To have wisdom, takes extreme Discipline! Just like someone who is focused on a goal, training and thinking about the same thing day in and day out. It just drives him, and no one has to force him to do it!
Proverbs 4-6 says things like, “pay attention, cling to my words wholeheartedly so you may live, as if your very life depends on it! Cherish wisdom, cling to it, do not relax your grip on it, it is your life! Avoid anything bad or wicked, anything that is not wisdom! Pay attention! Open your ears, focus your eyes! Put it deep in your heart – it is your life! Protect your heart – your life depends on it! Look straight ahead, focus! Carefully walk the straight path, do not even lean left or right.. Pay attention! Be like the ant who has no ruler or overseer, he works hard all day long, he is not lazy! Hang wisdom around your neck – when you walk, lie down or wake up – it must be with you at all times!”
Proverbs 5:23 “He will die for his lack of discipline!“
The Hebrew word for discipline is Musar H4148 – mûsār, meaning chastening/taking the beating, being corrected, taking instructions, accept the warnings. Just like gold being beaten and put through the heat, or clay that is in the potter’s hands. Submit and work hard. Job 5:17 says, “Behold, happy is the man whom Elohim corrects: therefore H4148 despise not thou the chastening H4148 of the Almighty”
Proverbs 4:13 “Take fast hold of instruction; H4148 let her not go: keep her; for she is thy life.”
